County Kildare is on Dublin's doorstep and is in close proximity to Dublin Airport and Seaport as well as Dun Laoghaire Harbour. It is also only a couple of hours drive from most parts of Ireland.

There are 3 national routes - M4, M7, M9 - running through the county and rail links to the North West and West of Ireland via Maynooth and the South and South West via Naas, Newbridge and Kildare. Athy Town
The town is served by the main rail line linking Dublin and Waterford and also by a provincial bus service which provides excellent transport to and from Dublin every day.
Freight services include container and refrigerated transport and haulage facilities are available from CIE and private licensed haulage companies in the area.
Communication with the ports, airports and main centres of population are excellent. The main arterial road between Dublin, Kilkenny and Waterford and a link road between Monasterevin and Carlow pass through the town. The Dublin-Athy road is motorway standard for the greater part and with the completion of Dublin's Northern Ring Road.
Athy is now within one hours drive of Dublin airport.
